I've skied all over the west (Montana, WY, UT, CO, Tahoe, Mammoth) and think it'll be Tahoe for the foreseeable future. Tahoe is close enough to the Bay where my family and lots of friends are so skiing in Tahoe actually feels like I still get to maintain those relationships whereas skiing somewhere else would feel more isolating and solely focused on skiing.

It's also a lot cheaper in Tahoe via ski lease than Airbnb somewhere else
