I appreciated you writing that removing energy from uncompatible people is out of respect for self AND for them. How do you go about it - are you explicitly acknowledging meeting them less frequent or is it about them taking hints and adjusting?

For me, it's mostly the intentional decision to stop constantly reaching out rather than any actual harsh action. Even with the awareness that it might be energy-draining, I still consider them as a friend and if the circumstances would change, then I'd want to still hang out with them. Mostly an outreach thing
